As Susan moved back to the Netherlands, Abigail Martin a landscape architect, is organizing the activities from now on. Read an article (in Danish) about International Garden in the Mere Liv i Haven report (page 18).
The main language during the activities is English. At the moment there are three seasonal family days/ events held throughout the year and a group of families meets regularly for Saturday gardening from April to October. This project is not only about sustainable gardening and education, it is also about other creative activities related to nature, social interaction and having a lot of fun.
June 2016 the International Garden project won the first runner up prize in the Urban Nature School Project category in the URBIA Kids Awards ceremony in Copenhagen. The project was also nominated for the Best of Odense - Pindleprisen for the best volunteer project in Odense in November 2016. In the beginning of 2018 the project was nominated for Odenses sustainability prize 2017.
The project is also kindly sponsored by the solidarity and cultural fund of Børne- og Ungdomspædagogernes Landsforbund (BUPL's solidaritets- og kulturfond).
