Without the civil registration number, many local authorities will not be able to provide you with the adequate servicing.
If you are a fugitive or a person of familyreunification, you will receive a letter from Odense Municipality as soon as possible. The purpose of this letter is to welcome you as well as to invite you to an interview where you will be informed of your rights and duties as a resident in Odense. The time and place are mentioned in the letter.
According to the Integration Act, the Municipality is bound to create an integration contract which among other things provides you with a general introduction to Danish society. At this time, you will also be given information about the Danish language course (danskuddannelse) along with information about improving your employment chances. Odense Municipality will make sure, that an interpreter is present at the meeting if needed.
